Railton Body Repair: Preserving award-winning craftsmanship

This rare Railton is an old acquaintance in our workshop; we have previously carried out a full body-off restoration on this car. Following that restoration, the car even won the prize for ‘best unrestored car’ at a prestigious English concours. Unfortunately, the Railton recently sustained damage during a classic car rally, meaning the left front wing had to be repaired.

As we had used a minimal amount of filler during the original restoration, we were able to expertly panel-beat the aluminium front wing back to its original perfection. After straightening, the bonnet was repainted in our spray booth, restoring the Railton to exactly the same condition as before the rally. This project demonstrates that a thorough initial restoration is essential for durable and invisible repairs in the future.
