Restoration of the aluminium fuel tank on a Yamaha XT500

A dent can happen in the blink of an eye, but repairing an aluminium fuel tank on a classic motorbike like the Yamaha XT500 is a skill in its own right. Aluminium is a rigid material that doesn’t bend easily.

We managed to remove the dent from this fuel tank using traditional techniques, without compromising the integrity of the material. After removing the dent, we repainted the tank in its original colour scheme, restoring the motorbike’s iconic look in full.
